Just starting out, I actually found the Viper quite easy to figure out. I'm sure I'll need to adjust as I level and gain more skills, but the general idea I caught on to pretty quickly. I absolutely love how busy this job is. I never thought I'd find something entertaining enough to replace my Bard as my primary, but then Viper came out, and I'm in love.

I think I hate this job. I was so excited to have something I could share gear with my main job, NIN, but...this job is a spammy nonsense mess. I feel like I'm playing DNC or BRD and just pressing all of the things that light up. The weaving between one buff and the other using the same buttons is so foreign to me that it's like learning something so drastically different. I feel like I'm PVPing or playing Gunbreaker with the way the skills cycle through on one button. Utterly annihilates my muscle memory as a DPS.

I can't be bothered.

i fucking HATE getting dropped onto a level 80 class with 3 full bars of skills!!! let me start from 1 and learn it on the go, who the fuck wants to read skills for an hour to figure out how to chain shit.

Why do guides like these never take into account that these classes start at level 80 and no one knows how to play it. Doing guides for level 100 is pointless when people need to get there first. Guess I’ll just spam buttons in dungeons.

For the Dreadwinder/Pit of Dread Combos, you mentioned to use Hunter's Coil/Swiftskin's Coil back to back. Ive also been double weaving Twinfang/Twinblood between each of them and after the second one. (This is pre-90) Is this correct? Ive been over that part of the video a few times and that didnt seem clear.

I tried Picto and was positively surprised about the intuitive yet easy rotation. But Viper? Holy cow. I mean I like DRG and GNB bc those jobs are quicker and more flexible but Viper jumps right outta the window with a double flip. I still have to make sense of all of the comboa to build a fluid and easy to remember rotation on controller. This job is SO confusing! Looks like I have some studying to do again 😐

Honestly, this class is confusing as hell. I'm just hitting the next button that lights up.

You should really play the sequel 40th day as well, they built so much on the features, like customising the guns more, customising the masks, they used to have a site you could download them to the game. It got some bad reviews because of the story, but the gameplay was solid. Devils Cartel though, was just bad, the story was obvious, and for some reason they decided to change who you played as even though Salem, and Rio, were still in the game. The gun customisation went back to how it was in 1, and it kinda felt like they ignored everything about 2, bar mask customisation.
